Default SE MI UP/DP Install

anybody willing to divulge how much they spent getting their downpipe and uppipe installed and by whom? i was thinking about calling Godspeed or Payn Tech to get an estimate, but it's saturday. if the price is reasonable enough, i may save myself the headache of doing this in a cold garage or barn under jackstands.

Thanks,
Mike

yeah, it's not that i'm intimidated to do it, it's that i need to go through the headache of finding a garage i can use with all the tools i need and that will be moderately warm for this time of year. that and i hate having to impose...but i would be more than willing to fund a garage day if someone will host it.

as a side note, the pde pipes have bungs for the EGT and O2 sensors and are not supposed to throw a CEL. do you think it would be a good idea to use these or should I plug them and use a 2.2 ohm resistor and a Pony Express MIL fix?

thanks,
-mike

I can do it for you no problem. We do them constantly and gaurantee it not to leak ever. We also do some small things for you to help you down the road like anti-seize bolts and pretap for EGT gauge. Just let me know if you want to set up a time.

I had to buy Safir lunch. I would offer up my garage but I don't really fell like cleaning it up.

When did you want to do this? I have a heater and all the tools needed.

Send me a PM or post here if you guys line anything up. I'm looking to install a VF30 very soon and could use a refresher on taking those pipes off!

i've opted to go to my boss' house on sunday for his lift and pneumatic tools. a big thanks to seth, anyways. any body have any tips or tricks or words of advice? i'll let you know how it all transpires on monday.

p.s. if there is anybody who is dying to find something to do on sunday and has done an up/dp install before, i'll trade your chaperoning services for beer, food, and maybe even some kart2kart

I'm sure people will have some good tips for you, but get some rust penetrating spray and soak the bolts really good!

And of course, buy new gaskets. Don't even THINK of re-using the old ones.
