Question I need a custom exhaust shop in Boulder/Den/Ft. Col

I just picked up a '94 Legacy turbo wagon. I think I am picking up the Invidia catless down-pipe from Flat4 next week and will need a shop to bend me a mid-pipe with high flow cat. All the exhausts for this car come complete turbo back, have to come from AU/JDM/UK and are like $1500-2000. So I must find a good custom shop to do some mandrel bends for me...Any suggestions?

I got my supertrapp welded in at Bud's Muffler on Santa Fe in Denver. THey do mandrel bending and what looks to be really good work right now. Talk to Conrad. He has a Talon TSi that is supposedly really fast. A lot of DSM guys go there.

I'll give a second to Bud's Muffler. Being a DSM guy still, I know their reputation. Also, Ken's Muffler in Ft. Collins and in Longmont are both good, reputable shops. The SCCA guys use the one in Longmont, and the one in Ft. Collins has a deal with CO DSM To build exhausts. I had a 3" turbo back built for my DSM a while back. Very high quality work.

I'll third Buds Muffler. I had a 3" turboback on my galant vr4 from them and it was very well done. No rubbing and had minimal bends.

Thanks guys,
My project just got more complicated or simpler depending on how you look at it. My GF and I picked up a complete MRT turbo back slightly used. If I get to keep it, I will just need a 3" extension made to make it fit. But she might want the exhaust. Or I might get the downpipe and give her the cat back...who knows. Whatever happens I will still need one of these shops. I might just swing by Ken's this weekend because it is close...

keep 'em coming if there are more of you out there...

Boulder Muffler in... Boulder

It's off old Pearl. He's a good guy and won't sell ya stuff you don't need. Not a mandrel bending shop, but I don't think many are (those machines are very expensive) I bet he'd charge $50 for a short extension

worth a shot.

Ok,
I went to Ken's in Longmont. Quick freindly and cheap. Marco is pretty down to earth. we joked and played with his kid while they worked on the car.

I bought Tarmac's PDM divorced wategate DP for my Legacy. Thanks Joe. I used a WRX mid-pipe as the base pipe for them to work with. They cut off the resonator, added a 2.5" high flow cat and added a flange to mate to the DP. The hanger didn't need to be moved and it mates to the stock muffler. Total for parts and labor? $225 out the door, even though he quoted me $265 when i first got there. I will definitely go back if I need custom work again.

Ken's in Longmont also did some pretty nice work on a custom twin cat system on my Alfa V6 with headers. Good guys.
