just put the gruppe-s v2 manifold on to my car that already has vf30, blitz fmic, hks racing intake, helix uppipe, catless turboback, turbo inlet, vishnu xede ecu. First off the sound is almost the same, louder at idle but smoother almost and at WOT its louder but still keeps the boxer engine sound. Feels like 10-15whp, REALLY noticable that it pulls harder. I wrapped the manifold also so that might help with the lag people say but i really dont feel much lag comapred to stock manifold down low.

On a side note, someone who bought a part off me came by my house today and has the GP MOTO manifold. Im not sure about the performance but it sounds like ****. Does not sound like a wrx at all and was just terrible. Stay away from this manifold if you want your car to keep the same sound.

oh and also im not sure if this is from the turbo or the header because the sound was made when i added the vf30 to my exhaust i already had. When the car isnt warmed up all the way at around 3k rpm the exhaust gets a little raspy sounding. Now with the header added that sound is made from like 3k-3500 rpm until the car is fully warmed up. Once warmed up it goes away and the exhaust sounds smooth.

ill try and get some sound clips later in the week of the sound when not warmed up and fully warm.

Actually only 10 pages... and the thread is titled "Looking to do Header Dyno Comparison" not "RESULTS FROM HEADER DYNO COMPARISON!".. what do you expect

Do you think that thinning out the header walls would make them to sensitive for a daily driver? I remember when I drilled the tap for my EGT sensor that the iron seemed brittle.

Just a thought

They would still be thicker then most aftermarket sets... And because they would be under the stock heat shields you dont have to worry about them cracking at the welds when you drive threw a puddle of cold water.

The GT spec headers will add a solid 500 rpm worth of boost onset on a big turbo setup. If cold they will add around 800 rpm. I have owned/tested/tuned these headers. Forget the wrapping.. Its not going to help that much.. Better yes but not the solution.

Remove the GT's and sell them to someone with a smaller turbo. They work very well on stock turbo setups.

Port match your Stock iron manifolds. lay the gaskets down, Mark them, Grind the iron down with a Dremel. Wrap the Cross over pipe and put all heat shields back on. Order an upipe from Coastal Dyno or have him modify the one you have (I am doing this next time mine comes out). Bingo... 500+ rpm increase in boost onset, probably 20-40 ft lbs of trq on the bottom end and no more heat issues.

I just recently went through this on my car... Removed GT's and installed Stockers that I ported myself. Its somewhere around 500-700 rpm faster to get 14 psi with no apparent loss in top end. Off idle is even stronger.
