Post I knew IT! I DO have a 20mm sway bar!

I ordered an 18mm sway bar from JC Sport but they sent me a 20mm instead. Funny thing is, while I was waiting for it to be delivered, I wanted to change my order to 20mm. Well, last week in the rain, I could feel the car slightly oversteer when I made a U-turn. I thought it was just me letting go of the throttle too soon during the apex. But I wasn't giving it too much gas.

Last night, it was raining again and I decided to test it on the same U-turn. The road I was turning into has 4 lanes. I knew the 18mm sway bar only prevents understeer up to a point - but you'll still end up understeering as you increase your speed. with no cars around, I gunned the engine, let the clutch out kinda fast(I didn't drop it) and I did a 180, skipping only one lane! Before, with the stock 13mm - the car would understeer all the way to the fourth lane. The great thing was the tail end was still whipping around and I just counter steered and the tail end through and I snaked back into the lane(with practice, I be able to handle that wiggle)!

Note:

If I let go of the gas - I would have done a 360! This 20mm bar is not for the faint of heart. I recommend going back to 13mm when it snows.

A 20's the way to go IMO... get your struts and springs upgraded and you'll be all set.

Heh...Kabong. Yeah, I knew he was good, even though I never met him. Must be his biking experience paying off.

hehe, you're both asking for it...

I actually have no personal experience with the sway bars, just picked up the 20mm preference from everyone at the autocrosses...

And driving the Type R, which has a 22mm bar on it... wow, that thing is tight!!
