I've been calling Tirerack for over three weeks now, trying to get the center caps for my gold superleggeras. I've delt with various people on their end - and basically feel as though I'm being treated like dirt.
"They have my money, I have my wheels... so what am I complaining about" is the sense I'm getting.. but my order is INCOMPLETE. So, maybe some public embarrassment will work. I've tried calling people on this (Luke, Nancy, and somebody else who I can't remember). I CANNOT recommend tirerack at this point - it's been a ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. It's been nearly a month fighting this, and I'm no closer to getting my order finished. Maybe if I reversed the credit card charge, that would get their attention.

I had my SL's for two weeks before I recieved the lugnuts OZ sent them to me direct 1 800 OZ RACING tell the story they will listen and take care of you they have great customer service...OZ rocks
I did not buy my wheels from tire rack though...any ways Call Ken he is the man........ Sev |

At least what you *did* get was correct. I ordered 215/45/ZR17 Bridgestone Potenza SO-2 Pole Positions to go with my OZ P1s... They sent me 215/40/ZR17. I never bothered complaining. I got a good deal and just wanted to get the new wheels and tires on my car. Next time (if I do buy from them) I'll make damn sure they send the right tires. But the SO-2 is gone now so I'm not sure what I'll buy. Not the SO-3.....
Sev, when you say lug nuts from OZ, do you mean they have a matching finish? I would like some lugs to match my wheels. They'd have to have a locking one though... Rock on. Scott French |

The stock lugnutz did not fit then OZ sent me a set of silver ones part number is D2 thats OZ part number. Then I got my Sti lug nuts installed and installed them they are gold and match my rims gold Sl's and they are locking. Mac gaurd made in the usa shiped to japan and sold thier under the sti badge for almost 200 us 19,200 yen is what I paid they look hella cool I posted a pic of them in a thread on i-club a week ago...........

Why it takes 3 days for them to send out the wheel/tires? I placed an order on Monday and their response was it will be shipped out on Tueday. I called them again today (wed) and their response was oh it will be shipped out either today or tomorrow. They confirmed they have them in stock. Does it take 3 days for them to pack them and load them into a truck?
I needed them by this Friday and now it's all screwed up. I told them I really need them by this Friday....... and I guess I will be without P1/Kumho when I go and visit my friends this weekend (Honda vs. Subaru). ![]() |

Perhaps they didn't have the correct size of tyre that you wanted at the time and they were tranferring them from one of their other warehouses. They might have said "yes, they have them in stock" but just not at the closest location to you.

The complaints I have about them are:
1. They sent me a used tire when I ordered 4 new Pirelli PZero tires. I did not pay almost $200 per tire to get used ones. But to their credit they did resolve this quickly and completely at their cost. They sent me a new tire next day air and sent a truck out to pick up the used one. So for that I forgive them. 2. Even when you are ordering Hoosier race tires, they call you to tell you that isn't the size your car came with and they can't guarantee they will fit. If they they have trouble getting through to you it severely delays shipment just because you didn't order 205-55-16's which nobody should be forced to run on anyway. But I do see why they do it. If they send it to some schmuck that thought he could fit 335's on a civic, he might get upset at threaten to sue since that seems to be what America is all about (easy fast cash), so they are just covering their butt. So for this as well, I forgive them. In short, I would use them again. Their prices are good, and when you have a problem they don't just blow you off. |

Well, I bought my subie on 29th of OCT and requested 18" P1 with Kuhmo tires . I asked my dealer who was Chris Flemming of huffines ( very satisfied with his help) when my wheels and tires would be in. He told me I don't see why they wouldn't be here on thurs -fri . I called him on thursday to ask what was up and he didn't know anything. I called him again saturday , nothing still. I called him on monday and he tells me tire rack had the order but had not shipped it. The order was placed ONE MOTHERGRABBIN WEEK and not SHIPPED. I'm needless to say BENT . So the long and short of it is My order was redone yesterday at 11am. I won't have my wheels for 2 weeks after I bought them.... Is this the service I am going to expect from them from now on. If so , then you can count me out.... 2k and you can't get your crap together,i'm amazed.

I ordered gold superleggeras this past month. Everthing came coreect (wheels/tires/lugs) but no center caps. I called them the next day and talked to the same sales rep, Sonny i think. He said they didn't have them at the warehouse and he called OZ and had them drop shipped to my door for free.

I phoned in last Friday and place an order for one set of tires. The rep was very helpful picking out the tires for me. I was told the tires will be ship out on Monday.
Monday, phone in to get a tracking number, but was told the order was cancelled. I was like ***?!! CS guy told me that they called my home phone and the person said I dont' exist at that place, thus the order was cancelled. Later I found out from my roommate that tirerack called and ask for James L instead of the correct Jason L. :monkey: Ordered the tires again w/ same rep and made sure they call the correct phone number. The sale rep ensure me things will be ok. Today, call in again to ensure everythign is ok. CS again told me that my billing doesn't match my CC billing info. I was like ***?! Looks like the rep used my shipping info as my billing info, thus the order was on hold AGAIN! Gave them correct billing address and pray everything will be fine. but still feel uncomfortable about the whole thing, called again 2 hours later to make sure the order is ready to go. Again, the CS told me that billing info doesn't match CC billing info ~!!!!!! Now, this is getting me pissed. Give the CS the address AGAIN~! and told her 3 times to call me if something is wrong. Hopefully those tires will show up on Friday for weekend autox....... |

It's really not their fault if your cc billing info is different than what you gave them. A lot of times if the info is wrong it won't allow them to run the card. I've never had a problem with them. I hope things turn around for you.

Ive had two buying experiances with Tirerack,,,both excellent.Last yr ordered four Re730s,arrived two days latter.Luke called day latter made sure everything ok, it was.
Yesterday i ordered four Sumitomo HTRZ IIs at 1030 am est. they arrived today at 1130 am est.On neither order did i get or ask fr next day shipping.Now thats service.And yes Brians right,if ya gota question or wanna buy tires,Luke is da man! Rudy |

THe chrome on a few of the lug nuts on my new SSR Comps got chipped thanks to the alignment shop using an air gun on them.(Lesson learned - ALWAYS specify no air guns, even if you don't think they are going to take off your wheels.)
Two days ago (on Monday) I emailed Luke and asked him how I could get another set of lug nuts. Same day, I get email confirmation from Tire Rack that they have shipped out a set of lug nuts, free of charge! Today the UPS guy delivered them. Luke's the best! Shawn |

Another thumbs up to Luke.
I emailed him about some opinions on going with OZ Superleggeras on my pending WRB WRX that will be arriving. I had quite a few questions and wanted his input on tires and whether Id get sick of gold or be stupid to go with 18s. I know he gets a ton of emails, but he called me the following day to answer all my questions, never pushed for the sale right there, and said when my cars about to arrive, he'll take care of me and get everything shipped to the dealer so they can put them on as I requested. I appreciate those who take the time to treat me as If Im important and not replaceable. Too often on here I read about people ordering parts/wheels/tyres/etc from so-and-so and its the same old: "Im still waiting, where is my order, I ordering these two weeks ago, you said they were in stock, didn't you get my email, hey where are those lugnuts, you said they shipped out, I called yesterday and you said they were out of stock, why have you billed me already, blah blah blah..." I have a strong feeling Luke and Tirerack have a slightly higher opinion of their customers than this and will see to it that everything goes according to planned, every time, all the time. He's won my business and I'll put my order in, in a week or two. In an era of "customer-no-service", very few companies are getting it right and even fewer go out of their way to help you. Not so here, and I haven't even bought anything from them yet. |

I e-mailed them about the air pressure in the tires i recently purchased. Last 6 days ago, e-mailed back that they would get back to me, nothing. I called them and was jerked around. i have heard good things of them, yet I get B*ll SH$t. They were happy to take my $1900 bucks. But thye have it now so I guess it is screw you time, hell we have the money.

When I ordered my wheels, they said the centercaps were backordered. They emailed and even called me (twice) to let me know the status of them, and they arrived exactly when they said. First rate service, in my case.

I ordered a Prodrive front lip spoiler from Luke and received it less than a week later. Good service. Sorry to hear about some other people's woes, but my experience was positive. I'd definitely order from Luke and tirerack again.
