Default 02 wrx sedan vs: 02 wrx wagon

Hey I've got an 02 slvr wagon WRX
all catless / Co-air intake -Exhaust / Unichip.
I get The 3 main driving magazines and they list the wagon as much slower than the sedan for 0 - 60, and 1/4 mile performance.
My wagon seems to have good performance but I have never gone against a sooby sedan (don't really drag race that much). Same weight and horsepower. Whats with that?
I know I can pull away from a lot of performance cars.
Has anybody seen the read outs in R&T Car & Driver.

I know that at least in Road and Track the wagon is much slower because it was an automatic. I'd assume this to be true for all the magazines if there is a big speed difference. The extra weight shouldn't matter much.

The Wagon weighs what, 80lbs more? That's MAYBE going to cost you (well, or me...) a 10th in the 1/4. The results in R&T and, I think, C&D are skewed, like driggity says, by the 4EAT.

It's a bigger cost in handling, since the weight is a bit higher, the wagon has a smaller rear ASB, and it has more rear body flex. Of course, better wheels and tires, a rear ASB, and a rear strut brace takes care of most of that. Well, it did on mine...

Wagons Rule!!!
