Cool Kinda a funny storry.. *not too long and totallly ON topic*

I was driving to my girlfriends tonight and I was having some fun when I see a big white car at the next intersection in front of me, (I had just made a right "turn") and instead of turning left like the signal on the car indicated... he came staight at me, and stopped enough in front of me that i couldn't go... then pulled up and rolled down his window....

UNMARKED POLICE CAR!!!

anyway... luckily he wasn't in uniform so i couldn't get a ticket or anything but this is what he said...

"I don't want to see anymore of that sliding through these intersections sideways, ok?"

i kinda laughed to myself and replied..

"OH! Did that really happen? I thought I was still sleeping or something! huh."

he gave me a look and drove off...

oh well I found it amusing...

thanks for reading if you did

Better get a flamesuit on, man... Honestly, I do the same thing, but I usually stay in parking lots... LOL

Guess you just gotta watch where you're going and confine yourself to enclosed areas when you plan on having some fun.

Thats funny!! Hey, you are lucky that he wasn't in uniform, here it doesn't matter. Here, there are plain clothes officers in unmarked cars. They even try to get people to race and then they bust them!! Are u sure he was even a cop?? Probably a security guard!!!!

When I'm older and I (hopefully) have extra money lying around, I'm gonna go buy an old Caprice Classic at a police auction, and go driving around and pulling people over. I could even 'mod' it to look like a real cop car.

hehe

Could you imagine going to a Halloween party dressed up as an officer and driving a caprice and gets arrested by M8? That would suck.

Here in MO you cannot have an exact uniform of a police officer but you can have a dang close to it. Also we frown very much upon people using lights to pull people over. Max sentence and stuff like that, and I think the jailers tell your cellmates you are a cop from out of town.

Hey "Gotrice", HAHAHA nice reply to the Police Officer there! Sleeping, hahahaha!! I'm sure he looooved that!

OK, I have a question...."Ver.III" said that the police in his town drive the unmarked cars and even try to get you to race them! Now, "M8", is that legal? My friend was talking about some guys he knew locally that were busted for racing who received charges for both "display of power" and "aiding and abeding"!! (sp?) So, how is it that a cop can do it and it's not "aiding and abeding" but it would be if I were to do it?? Plus, isn't that called entrapment? <--genuine question.

Just curious,
thanks.

"display of Power"? Guess the cop that nailed me for the "display of speed" didnt think my suby had enough "power".

Sounds like entrapment to me, but then seriously, how many people can afford or even bother to fight it? And how many judges are going to support you?

It reminds me of the "bait-cars" they show on TV. They rig the car and leave it in an inviting situation, keys in it... then they kill the engine when somebody steals it... a little bit different, but still...

Funny thing - I think an off-duty cop was racing me the other day... the SUV had a F.O.P. badge on the back... I don't know if that makes it likely that he was a cop or not...

I sure wish that that skateboard had AWD!!!

In MA the State cops patrol in unmarked cars, and in plain clothes, and they also attempt to get people to race them. It sounds a bit like entrapment, but I don't know the legality of that issue. Anyone?
