Default HELP - Auto to Manual Swap Speedometer Question

I'm swapping a 98 Outback Sport 5 speed into a 95 Impreza Coupe. The 95 is a cable speedometer and the 98 is magnetic pickup. Is there a port on the 98 transmission that I can swap the cable to or is there an alternate solution to having a functioning speedometer?

Thanks in advance.

There's a speedometer adapter for manual trans you can purchase that's mechanical instead of the magnetic pickup for newer models. I grabbed one off ebay for $35. Part number was 37410AA061.

As for the wiring, I picked up a plug from the pick-a-part and wired my transmission to the existing automatic harness. 2 wires for the neutral safety, 2 wires for the reverse lights. As for the starter, I wired in a relay to the existing transmission harness to trick the car into thinking the shift lock solenoid was there.

Regarding the ECU, it's OBD I. Transmission computer is separate. No modifications necessary.
