Default Can I keep my ACT pressure plate & just buy another disc?

I already have a ACT street clutch with about 5000miles on it....It's seen some rough launches and not holding to well(better the clutch than the tranny right?) and I was just wondering if I could just buy the disc($150) or do I have to buy the whole new clutch kit with the pressure plate($475)

Thanks

Have someone inspect the Pressure plate It should be fine After only 5000 and a new clutch would always help if not you could just buy them seperatly But to play it safe you should just go with the both and possibly upgrade to a better clutch if you have the money

I have basically stg4+....sr40, pe 650's, utec, etc.....what kind of clutch would you recommend? I want something at least streetable but I want it to be able to hold the power as well....any recommendations? I just don't want to spend $500 if the pressure plate is still good....see what I mean?

Like stated above, have the flywheel and pressure plate inspected when the friction plate is replaced.

If the clutch is gone now, how was it driven? Unless the friction plate is defective, the other 2 parts may be glazed from slippage.

But to answer your question, yes you could just replace the friction plate.
