My guess would be....what kind of pipe? Muffler pipe, cage pipe, diameter of pipe, material of pipe (chromaly..sp?, steel etc) and thinckness of pipe material....is that enough factors for you?

If I've said something to piss you off, I'm sorry!
But I'm just asking a simple question!

Don't mind tora. He's just making crude jokes that are over your head because you don't know TMR and 'Kelvin'.

You asked what factors, and I offered some possibilities, that is all. Not pissed, just offering facts and asking you if you think those may be enough factors, if they are not I will think of some more that may help you find the answer to your mandrel bending concern.

Okay, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.
I guess the way your first post was worded, it sounded like you were pissed
that I even asked "what factors?".
My fault!

Nope, but perhaps I figured that if you were asking about getting "pipe" mandrel bent you would be more specific as to what type of pipe, or what it was going to be used for to help those who would help you. With a vague topic you will find you will get vague answers.

Factors are diameter of tube, radius of bend required, wall thickness, type of material, etc.....

We can bend up to 2.25" and up to 0.120" thickness. If the wall is too thin, the tube may collapse on itself. If the bender radius is too small, the tube may crush.... blah blah.....

Anyways - 3" sounds like exhaust tubing - which is thin wall...

Are you sure there's no mandrel benders in Kelowna??? Have you tried metal fabricators / suppliers? Also, if there's just a few bends, the metal shops might sell you pre-bent sections that you can weld together.

I have a APS high flow turbo outlet that bolts up to the back of the turbo.
So all I really need is basically a down pipe that will bolt up to the APS unit to my cay back. I'm no exhaust expert so I don't know about wall thickness or the angle of the bend. But the pipe will only be about two feet w/ maybe only one bend.....I don't know if that helps at all? But thanx for your reply.
I'll call some metal fabricators tomorrow and see what they say.
Thanx again.
Matt.
