hey all, just wanted to share.

just had these tires installed.

much different feel over the re92s.
stiffer, ride is a little more bumpy with the slightly lower profile. they fill out the wheel well better, up to the sides of the fenders/panels. looks good.

only have 5 miles on them so won't know how they perform for another 100 miles or so until they get broken in.

for 62 bucks a tire (268 shipped from tirerack) and 72 bucks total installed at natick subaru (in MA)...i'd say it was a worthwhile improvement over stock. i'll post an update after a few weeks of driving.

thaz all.

have a great july 4th everyone!

Cool... I've been keeping my eyes on this size. heard that there's no rubbing at the rear but clearance is close. I'm interested in your reports (from the field - that is). I think I'll go with the kdw's though.

What Model/year do you have?

I just got a bonus at work - I only had the discipline to save it for about 8 hours (as I was asleep last night) Now, I think it'll be going towards the tires or a stromung... AGGGGG!! What happened to my discipline!?!?

How do they fill up the fender well better? Don't they have a lower profile that the re92's?

yeah, i was gonna go for summer performance, but we get snow and ice up here in boston...and instead of getting another set of tires for the winter (the wife would just loooove having a set of tires sitting in the living room) i went for all seasons.

my 99 aspen white. 21K miles.

as for filling up the wheel well...there was a big debate about 215/50/16 and 205/55/16 awhile ago...the difference is about 2-4%. what i meant was that the tires extend out further and "flatten out" the side lines of the car, i.e. the tires are parallel instead of slightly inset with the fenders. kinda like the wide body look...

economical and looks good

I have these tires, they fit, but clearance is super tight with the STi inverted struts. They worked ok in the winter, but in dry auto-x type of stuff they leave a lot to be desired.
