Post warning buzzer

g'day people.. I have a bit of a problem. I have an MY01 (MY02 to you) WRX, and there is a speed warning buzzer that comes on at around 180 kph (around 113 mph). How can I get rid of that? can anyone help me? it's just annoying..cause it's loud. thanks

The easy way is to just clip the wire going to the buzzer. But that buzzer more than likely handels other warnings. The other way, and more like overkill, is to trace the current back to the ecu/relay and clip the output. The second would require a service manual and a tester.

Cars in Japan do that except that the warning sound starts at 105km/h. My mom's Camry did that, and so did my friend's mom's 323/Protege/Familia.

My father had it removed. Just cut the wire to the buzzer and cap it or put electrical tape around it.
