Thumbs down WRX is too ugly, just back from the show

I just came back from the show. For anyone hoping that its better than the pictures tell, forget it! This thing looks like a Taiwan econobox with a really ugly rear spoiler, fake CF interieur and " a face only a mother could love"!
I was hoping on liking it, but even the wagon is just plain ugly. Remember, I'm not talking performance here, just looks.
The Mini and the 49er Ford are the coolest cars amongst the affordable ones, the nicest is the new Porsche GT, period.
BTW, the Aztek has a bigger brother, yup, they made it even worse. Sink, fridge, drawers for silverware, all in the back. Good for catering I guess...

This is the way I look at it... it may be "ugly" to some stock... but with a little work: (hmm... those WRC headlights look sweet) body kits, wheels, suspension, etc... the car will look awesome. I've got my white wagon on order, and I've got LOTS of ideas floating in my head. It will be a pretty sweet ride when I'm done.

peace,
shawn

Yeah, I saw the WRX last night. Nice interior. My 2000 RS carpet is showing wear in less than a year and the WRX carpeting looks much better quality (like my wife's 96 Outback, 5 years and no carpet wear al all. Also the steering wheel is NICE and the dash layout seems good. The seats don't have the built in cat-hair magnets like the current one (should have gotton leather). The styling? Well, I'm not there yet. The front may grow on me, but the back? can you spell H-U-N-D-D-A-I ? The engine looks well laid out and presented. I'm afraid to drive it because I really like my RS, the looks and the driving part. After driving it, you may not care how ugly it is, but should you have to buy an ugly car just for performance and a better interior. Also it has too many doors. LOL.

Since I like the looks...

I think Ill wait for the 2002+ RS's instead of the current ones Especially with the vastly improved interior! (I dont want a 2-door anyway)

Plus, the current cars have a wind-noise problem... And everyone says how much quiter the new cars are.

This post started with wrx666 saying that he went to the show, saw the car's (sedan & wagon) and that the "reat spoiler" was ugly. Ok an opinion, thats cool. But the car at the show has now wing and there is no wagon there at all. Just an observation.
