Post How many with air intake with NO afc?

I'm just curious. I have a '99 Impreza and I was wondering if anyone had an aftermarket air intake and does not have an AFC. And are you having any problems?

It's not a technical question.

Cool

I had no AFC for 6-7k mls on a 99 RS with a K&N conefilter on kustom intake(mounts to stock MAF housing, all stock piping towards motor).
No problems. But S-AFC increased power a lot and the gasmilage went up.

No problems running rich...or (God forbid) running lean??? This is a concern for me coz '99 Imprezas run lean as it is. Any leaner, and it's toast! Go to the tech forum for details.
