I bet an exhaust would help those cams a whole hell of a lot...

Decent headers would help a lot, but a low-restriction muffler would be a good start. The stock headers are a joke.

Thumbs up

One more subjective comment: I just drove home from work (the backroads route), and didn't let the revs fall below 3500 once. It's a very satisfying playground up there.

These cams are definitely gonna impact engine longevity--they make me push much harder than I used to.

An exhaust is next on my shopping list, but I value the friendship of my neighbors too much to slap on a coffee can. I drove around in a Celica Alltrac with a straight pipe for two years. Sometimes I still hear it in my sleep.

I appreciate the objectivity, I just knew that this trickle of data was gonna freak people out when you didn't have the before and after data in the same post...

Seems like we've distracted them, they missed the fact that the before data is still missing!

Talking

Well, send my butt-dyno back to be re-calibrated! It seems there was a pretty good improvement in 4th gear times after all:

3000-4000
Before: 5.0
After: 4.1

4000-5000
Before: 6.1
After: 4.8

5000-6000
Before: 9.1
After: Unknown

Don't put too much faith in these numbers, since the readings were taken with a hand held stopwatch. Still, there is too big a difference to dismiss as measurement error.

I know I have a G-Tech in the garage somewhere. I'll see if I can dig it up and do some 0-60s.

Now we have 1 opinion (sorta 2 considering the prototype car...), who's next?!?! Come on don't hold back. Make sure you do some testing before getting them installed. Details, details, we want details!!! How's your milage, how's your noise value, how's the ego?

BTW, Gravity, ....

Right there with ya man.

P.S. DISCLAIMER: Just to let you all know, this was done more for humor value than as to insinuate that Cobb Tuning is fudging their facts and data. Cobb Tuning is up front and honest. Actually some times they are too honest, but we take the good with the bad.

P.P.S. Jeez I hate being PC.

P.P.S.S. Can you tell little bulletin board smiles amuse me so... Alright, I need to get out more....
