ecutek vs utec vs cobb reflash & access
I am getting a vf34 sti injectors and warbloro fuel pump to add to my existing mods
samco intercooler hoses
blitz sus filter
please help me make the best dission for the engine management
I live in the atlanta area, this will be the last time I mod the power of the wrx, I dont have a lap top, dont want to spend that much,
subaru of gwinnete says they can do the ecutek for $700.00 , but they said they are waiting to bring in a specialist from florida for a big tunning day, when I don't know. I dont know if the wrx will make the 1 hour drive to dealership for reflash on the sti injectors
the cobb reflash I would have to send off my ecu and the access port thing is not out yet, what would be the total for the dynotune with accessport?
utek is like $1000.00 plus the dyno tunning
please help me make a good dission

well, cobb has new maps for the vf34 and vf30, however, these aren't the stage 3 maps which will be out very shortly from what cobb says (and i take their word on this). these maps are non-aggressive maps, however they will enable you to run your car with the mods that you have. and when the accessport comes out and the stage 3 comes out, damn will you have fun. and if you think about it, 395.00 gets you the reflash, and later on, it's only 20.00 for any reflash after that, on top of that, if you get the accessport , 160.00 (if you have the reflash from them already), then you could have a hell of a car.

I don't have personal experience in my car right now- but I'm hearing of the possibility of huge things coming for the UTEC. I saw a small demonstration of an EcuTek and all I'm going to say is damn the thing looks like the real deal
someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but to me, the EcuTek is basically a UTEC without the possibility of the user tuning on the go.. yes, no, I'm an idiot....

Ecutek is a (British) company that provides software (DeltaECU) to reprogram the factory ECU. It essentially gives you the functionality of an after market ECU (within reason), but it's intended for tuners only. If you get a custom Ecutek map, it's done by someone that paid $$$ for DeltaECU.
UTEC is a piggyback that takes over control of the important stuff lift fuel, boost and ignition, unlike previous piggybacks it's mostly independant of the factory ECU, leaving that to do the boring stuff like aircon, and maybe idle control.
