Cool Speedlines.. decisions decisions, any pics?

Okay .. I normally dont ask these kind of pointless questions.. but I am at a loss.. I am loosing sleep on which set of speedlines to get an whether to get rally gold.

I have a white MY2000 RS coupe.. and think the Super Turismos look great, but I also think the Pero - R's look mean as hell. I think they are fair priced and reasonably light. I know this subject has been beat to death. Does anybody have any pictures of a white RS with gold speedlines or silver speedlines on? I would certainly appreciate it. I would hate to take the plunge and not like what I bought...

My screen has practically burnt the image of SPD's wheel page on it. They are both so great looking. Also one other thing.. which tire size is okay. I have a couple of choices.. 205/45 - 17 or 205/40 - 17's.

Thanks very much for everybodies insight in this matter..

first thing don't use 205 it's too small, the size 215-45-17 to get the same overall aspect as your original ones, that's the size that comes stock on the legacy here from Subaru. if you want to go for WRX aspect it's 215-40-17 just like on my car...

my suspention was so low that my stock 16's with RE32 would rub at full lock-on and now with 215-40-17 they don't anymore...

here are the pics

I think the Super T's look much better than the pero - R's. Just my opinion. You could always go all out and get the OZ Gold WRC wheels from Rallispec. Mmmm...

Speaking of SPD, does anyone know the weight of the Prodrive 7's? Do they only come in 17" or can 16" be had?

I would email Mike, but I hate bugging people if I am not buying for a while.

Aaron

PS Sorry I didn't have anything useful to add scrappy. I am sure someone could photoshop the wheels onto a white car for you.

I think gold Pero's would be phat on a white RS. The other pick would be for the new anthracite 7-spokes.

Good luck!

Oh and I believe the correct spelling for the Preo-R is PREO not Pero. I saw it in a Speedline ad. SPD has it spelled wrong on their site and they also have quite written all over the place when they mean quiet.

Did you mean to say Bunuel instead of Ken? I didn't see him post any pics there. But my suspension is stock for the moment.

Cool

Ownly,

They are the original design..

$ pots dont fit under those..

Prodrive/Speedline has since released version 2 of the wheel.. which does allow 4 pots to fit. They have curve spokes.

The OZ's are real nice... there are a few makes to chose from.. Khans ... Mims... Oz... Speedline

Cheers,

J.

Gambit,

Thanks. I take it you wanted 16"s as well from your smily. 20lbs isn't bad for 17" though.

uhhhh Jay, you mean STi 4pots don't fit...

i have a set of Willwood aluminium 4 pots and they fit like a charm, 1.5mm of clearance in the center , still fits and brakes the hell out of it...

here are my brakes before i put the Speedlines on

To the person who asked about the Prodrive 7, they come with 17" only. Weight is about 20lb IIRC.
