Post WRX in US?

I heard rumors that the WRX will come to the US as the 02' model and I was wondering is that true? Well, if it's true, would it be the same has the Japanese WRX? or would it be less powerful?

Thanks

Just thought up another question. I also heard about Subaru gonna put a turbocharger on the up coming Impreza and I was wondering is that also true? If it's true, what year model would it be?

Thanks

It is true. Subaru of America's word is release in Feb or March of the 2001 year as a 2002. We do not know what we will be getting in terms of specs as of yet. Some say 250hp some say 215hp. We just don't know anything yet. Welcome to the board. Go buy the new AUTOCAR magazine and you can see pictures of it and read the article on test driving it for the first time.

Thanks for the reply Bunuel. Well, the WRX that would be coming to the US, what version would that be? Would it be the one with the ugly headlight?

Thanks again

i pretty much answered that in ur last theard, and there is another one goin on about it right now that i started myself, there have also been numberous other ones u could do a search for.

ill say it again all WRX's have turbocharger engines, as will the new one, they are 4 cylinder 2.0L turbocharged engines
the US will be less powerful than the jap (probably around 215hp) and yes, once again, it will be the ugly one with the funky headlights.

go look at my posts again on ur other thread. and check out the other thread that was started today if u havnt already

Thumbs down

I don't want to be mean, but please read a few magazine's, surf the net, and do searches before asking such a question that has been examined so many times. Again i don't want to be rude.

Hate to be nitpicky Subyracer, but actually In Japan they can get a Normally Aspirated WRX with I think a 2.2l with variable valve timing and lift that puts out 185bhp.
