Wink Any 93 limited legacy GT turbo owners?

I had one, I was just wondering if anyone still enjoyed the slick ride.

I didn't think there was such a car as a Legacy GT Limited. AFAIK, there weren't any limited versions of the BC/BF Legacy's. Also, there was no GT turbo. The only GT, the '94, was NA.

I've got a 93 Legacy sport sedan (AWD, 5MT). For those interested in knowing more about them (the US version at least):
http://www.cars101.com/subaru_legacy_archive.html

Production numbers from SOA last week:
I have the production numbers for the '91 - '94 Legacy Turbo models:
'91 5-speed - 58, '91 automatic - 149,
'92 5-speed - 6, '92 automatic - 5,
'93 5-speed - 25, '93 automatic - 45,
'94 5-speed - 170, '94 automatic - 230.
This is a total of 688 vehicles.

that email has to be off. there are 3 legacy ss that park in train lot every morning alone. my 94 sedan a 94 wagon and a 92-93 sedan. the 94 #'s make sence, but I find it crazy that an auto maker would market a car and bring over just 11. just my 2 cents. on a side note, as my baby is about to roll over 84,000 miles, anyone know if there is another turbo with less orignal miles on it?

there's plenty with fewer than 84K mi. There have been a few with mileage in the 60's for sale since I bought mine. Like I said above, I am pretty sure those numbers do not include wagons. Furthermore, there is a good reason (just a guess that recently occured to me) why a company would do so few units: Motorsports. Certain classes of motorsports require a minimum of 50 units (number varies from sport to sport) to compete in a "production" class even though the actual race cars are far from the same as what ends up on the street. That was the case with the MBZ Evo 190E and the Audi Quattro Turbo Coupe. Maybe Subaru was meeting a production requirement. Who knows, Just shooting from the hip here. And I find it interesting that everytime someone challenges the numbers it is not only an enthusiast but someone who lives where there are a ton of Subarus sold. (Mgardenier, that is not meant as a slight). I see a ton here in Boulder and it makes me skeptical. But until I bought one, I rarely noticed the old turbos...

Boulder is a haven for Subarus of all make and model. My friend lived behind an older couple that had a mint winestone Legacy Touring wagon. I don't trust those numbers either, they seem unbelievably low.

And there was a 1994 Legacy GT in the U.S. It was a bastard child, usually found with some sort of graphics on the side. It had a 2.2L NA motor and the raised roof that the JDM wagons had.

Oh, and the '94 GT also had the rear underspoiler/lip.

well, in 94 subaru had like 4 special run sub models from legacy wagon chasis, 3 AWD, 1 FWD.

I think it was 1000 of each AWD model, and like 900 FWD.

outdoor (air lift suspension)
GT (raised room)
alpine (skid plate, heated seats (skiers dream))
sun sport (FWD 2.2 GX)

turbo wagon was not counted in this group

yeah,
There's a few alpines running around here. They sucker you cuz they are the only non-turbo BF with a hood scoop. same alloys as the turbos too...tailbadge says Mi on it...

Are you sure about that Matt? I drove an "Mi" badged Legacy at one of the dealers (Longmont) a while back. It didn't have a scoop.

I also added a 1994 GT spec thread over at LegacyCentral.org. The funny thing is that I parked next to one at the skatepark the other day. That's how I concluded what all was on that car vs. the rest of the '94 Legacys. I'm still not too sure about the hood scoop on NA cars though. Has anyone actually seen/driven one?

I've noticed what I think is an Alpine around my area lately.
It looks just like a turbo sedan but has 14" alloys and decals. I can't quite remember but it may have been two tone also, light grey on the bottom and white everywhere else. The one I saw had a hood scoop.
