OK---this has to stop, right NOW!!!
What the F*** do people need all that crap for in their car. People have enough trouble driving w/ the radio on let alone closing a merger w/ their in car videoconferencing on the way into work, sending jokes to japan over his internet connection that is faster then mine at home while watching a porno on his DVD player and killing eight other players in Bose stero sound as to hear every blood curdling scream in quake III w/ his in car PC!!! whewwwwwwww
Sheesh is this crap really NECESSARY ?!?!?!?!
I think not-
maybe only in a limo and your NOT the driver.
The site is very cool though.

Hey man, they're Germans not Americans, they can handle things like the Autobahn and driving while on the phone. Don't you think they'd have the good sense to pull over if they need to do something intensive?

BTW, what's wrong with watching porn while driving?

8-
Your right that they are not Americans- but whose to say that someone couldn't do that here. I would hope people would be smart enough to pull over and stop but there are lots of stupid people out there-
Damn I mean there are car companies developing car/offices for sale off their dealer lots so you can do something all the time in the car-god forbid they'd be driving.
If these people are smart the will make it so that the car has to be stopped in order for all of it to work--like the GPS system in the GS400--can't program it unless your stopped.

BTW 8-nothin's wrong w/ that-just more fun when your stopped-
However more fun with the girlfriend
sorry a bit OT

Angry

Distractions such as phones, books and eating cause 3 million car accidents a year. Most people do not beleive this , and neither did I until I had to honk down a woman for 3 miles to get her to realize that half her hood had lifted and that the rest was about to go. When she pulled over to the side of the road, she told me, "I was looking in the mirror, so I didn't see it just pop off." She was applying her make-up on the way to her work. These in-car systems are bad news!

Hell ya, finally a car you could actually live in. Gives new meaning to the word "mobile home." The hell with a house, I'll spend my first $300,000 on this thing and live in it. Park it in Beverly Hills at night, claim 90402...woah 2am, better go sleep...

I don't know if I would want to drive the thing. I would want to stay in the backseat where all the toys R.

The website is sweet.

Ok NeedAscooby, I think what 8 was getting at is that Germans and most Europeans are born with Driving Sense. Is that kinda like Spidey sense. Need Sleep.

Actually, the voice is done by Breakout in europe (www.breakout4u.com, I think) and the site was designed by the boys at NRG www.nrg.be, that car is currently being driven by Kimble, one of the worlds most notorious hackers turned network security millionaire (www.kimble.org)

Brabus tuned, and online mercedes, me likes. you should check out kimble's site, his homage to himself, to see all the other cool **** that guy has.

It's a nice, quick Brabus Benz, BUT, it doesn't have AWD. If I want 'net access in the car, I'll bring a laptop.

However, it would be nice if I had the wad of cash burning a hole in my pocket like these guys obviously do.

Just my $.02

I read in one of the mags or on thier websites that one of the principals of Bertone Design (did the Lancia Stratos, some Ferrari's, Fiat x1-9, etc) was quoted as saying he thinks all this telematics, skyline [email protected] detracts from the driving experience and he doesn't even use a radio.
I tend to agree, cars are for driving, your living room is for entertainment, and the office is for work.

I am looking at another press release right now that says distractions cause 50% of all highway accidents.

You have a responsibility to other drivers to be 100% focused on the task of driving, very few of our daily activities have the implications that getting behind the wheel does.

Actually what I was saying about the German vs. American thing is that as Americans, our lives are dictated as if there were no tomaro, we have to do everything fast and hectic and this leads in not paying attentoin closely enough to what we should be.

In Europe, it seems to be more laid back and proper attention is paid to what it should be. Just think about this - the Autobahn would not fly in the USA simply for the fact that 120mph is the slow lane. I couldn't see a minivan on that road, just for the pure fact that it'd have so hard of a time holding a stead 100mph, let alone higher, speed.

for 300k I'd MUCH rather take a lamborghini diablo vt 6litre and still have some money left over to pay for tax and first tuneup. what a waste of money. oh yeah BOSE SUCKS, it should have some custom done wilsons, hahaha. then the car would cost about 700k, hahaha. but still, 300 for that thing is a big rip, you can take all your fancy toys in your car, shine them up real nice, keep shining it...turn them sideways and stick em straight up the s500s pipes.
lamborghini is by far better than this mercedes

I don't think I've ever seen a lamer car. It just looks totally stupid to have such a large LCD screen in the back seat. Christ, where will you fit the women?

P.S. I think it would be kinda of funny if the care came to a sudden stop and the keyboard smacked you in the nuts, the mouse in the chest, and the LCD in your face.
