Thumbs up I love going to the gas station!

Yes the prices pretty much blow, but when I pull up in my SuBARu, everyone turns and watches as I pull up to the pump. Today the guy working the propane pretty much stared at it and the guy buying it was staring, the people on the right side of me were checking it out, and over in the left turning lane on the side of the street there was this 00Mustang GT that was lookin for bout a minute till his light came. I love getting all those looks. Its nice to have a SuBARu RS!

You forgot to mention the downside of that one... the cops looking.

Thumbs down

Two days ago, some dumb cop SUV that was all dirty and had (written with a finger beacuse it was dirty) on the backwindow "Cops are cool" and "OJ did it" was in front of me at a turning light. I had my radio on at about volume 28? or 27 with only 1 sub and was hardly booming. He starts looking at me in his mirror and then opens his door comes over and asks me "Is that your radio making that noise?" I said I guess and he then told me turn it down. He wasn't nice either. After that he got back in his stupid suburban and watched me with threatening looks. luckily i was uturning and he was just going left. He wathced me as i turned too, like I was gonna peal out or start drifting. I guess i brought it on myself i dunno, but if he would have been a little nicer I wouldnt have been as pissy as i was after he left.

Personally...I think he was threatened by the yellow vents and the Pokemon look! Hahaha.

Was this with the stock Clarion head unit at volume 28? I don't think I've ever gone over 20 on mine, & you can hear it pretty clearly outside of the car if the windows are down with my POS sub.

Woah! I have a KDLX30 and a JL 12" with 260 Watts. 27 is LOUD. I listen to the radio at 10-15 and CDs are a lot louder than the radio.

Hmmm... I've invested a bit of money in the hearing aid industry of late. With the volume of some of the radios around here, I know serious, permanent hearing damage is being done.

Ya'll be careful! It doesn't take that many decibels over a period of time to hurt you. What is even worse is you become desensitized to your own hearing loss and most times won't notice it.

You don't regain hearing once you lost it, and the effect can be cumulative.

Mind you, I do crank up the stereo at home now and again, but for rarely more than one song at a time.

Now go out there and bust some ear drums!!! Make my investment payoff!

Regards,

Tim
*currently ignoring that loud buzzing in his ears and hoping let hell he doesn't sound like a parent*

On the other hand, sit as close to the tv as you like - it doesn't hurt a bit!
