Default i hate deer, can someone help me with my susp/steering?

Well last night i finally finished fixing my car!.. except for the paint (we are doing this sat)... but all the fender/bumper/panels were all on and sanded down ready to go.. i WAS soooo close!!!

then it happened.. a deer jumped right out in front of me..
good news: i swerved, and slid.. but managed to control is somewhat.. went into the ditch, and only messed up a tie rod and sway bar...

bad news: car is undriveable (no left steering).. and im not sure what exactly happened to my susp. and steering assembly..

can anyone who knows subarus or at least knows this type of work can they look at my car? i will pay you gas to drive to olympia (actually lacey).. i just want someone to look at my car..? anyone?
360-456-6420, or srushforth@mac.com
THANKS!

? by "no left steering..."

do you mean that the wheel/etc on the left side
no longer moves when you turn the steering wheel?

could be so many things.
control arm most certainly.
other possibilities are front axle & hub assembly.

and...
did you call your ins co?
have an adjuster come out and do an estimate?

how did you get it home?

can you get it to a body shop?

sorry to hear of your incident

the control arm doesn't look bent believe it or not.. the end link on the sway bent and snapped.. and the sway is bent.. i THINK the problem is that the tie rod bent into a "u" shape, and so the wheel can turn hard right cause the rod pushes OUT.. but when I turn to the left.. the new kink in the tie rod hits something else in the way (if the rod were straight, it would clear it), and then it can not turn the wheel to the left.. everything on the right side of the car looks fine.. there is also a very quiet click coming from somewhere even at idle...

I should be in Oly tomorrow. Mom sounded pissed when I mentioned that I might not go down.

Just what I want to do - spend like 10 hours driving for a 6 hour round trip. :monkey:

LEARN HOW TO DRIVE PEOPLE!!! Just because there's more of you on the road doesn't mean we can't go just as fast. LEAVE SPACES for people to merge, and you won't have to cut people off or slam on the brakes when you get cut off. IDIOTS!

OT but more on that point, I hate the way people drive this time of year. Drove my friend to Bellevue mall, pulling up into the parking structure. I spot this lady get into her BMW and start it up. She turns around and sees me with my blinker on waiting for the space. She smiles and takes out her makeup and starts to put some on. THEN she takes out her cellphone and calls some one. 3 min have passed and i give up and go searching for another spot. RIGHT when i pull past she pulls out and follows me and some other person who just got there ziped into the space. The "nasty term here" was laughing at me.... I hate shopping and this year doing the rest online......

The appropriate thing to do is to pull just forward of her and block the lane, blinker still on, until somebody else comes out to leave. Then smile at her.

i would have taken up the whole road leading out of the parking lot .. i would have made her have to back up the way she came in.. two can play that game

Yeah. . . if I were going to be spending time at my girlfriend's for Thanksgiving tomorrow, I'd totally be in that neck of the woods, too. Let us know how things work out. . . and take pictures if you can!

Dude sorry to hear about that...

funny thing though, the night Mark painted my old Honda Del Sol, I hit a possom. Knocked the lip off my car

Anyways, If you need a mechanic shop to do any work, I work at

Midland Automotive
Tacoma, WA
253 531 4331

I am an apprentice, so i can't get you any homey hook up or anything, but our shop is very honest, and go out of our way to back up our work.

FrancWRX on this board, and a few others have had work done at our shop, if you need refrences.

I hope you get things straighted out, sorry again.
