Angry How the hell do you get rid of toenail fungus?

its rare for me to get self-conscious over stupid crap, but this one seems to bother me for some reason.

I don't know how I got toenail fungus and even worse, I can't friggen get rid of it!!!!!

I've tried all the creams and liquids and even some pill which made me ill.

It's something that I know I shouldn't care about, but since I'm such a good lookin guy, I don't wanna have an annoying minor flaw

BrysImpreza:

I know your pain. I have it too.

I have just lived with mine for all my life. I've learned that no one cares about it except for me. We're men, and we have manly crap like that Have you looked into Lamisil? It sounds like you may have. Supposedly it works great. I tried a type of almost "clear nail polish" that's supposed to fix it, but I got lazy half-way through and it came back. It was definitely going away though. However, Lamisil is supposed to take SIX MONTHS for it to go away. The old nail must grow out COMPLETELY and the entire nail must be clean before you can discontinue it. Kinda makes sense if you ask me.

Anyway, that's about all I can offer. Hope I lent something useful to your search for clean toenails!

Sounds like he's being a smartass, but supposedly the acid in urine kiss fungi... athletes foot and toenail fungus.

I would rather have funky toenails than whiz on myself though Plus, that would have to be a lot of wee and on a daily basis!!!

lol

I heard there is a pill, but it takes six months.

I got it on one toe where I bashed the toe and the toenail came off, and then it grew back and had it.

chicks do not dig it.

Out of all the chicks I've dated/screwed/hung around with, not ONE of them noticed it until I said something to them about it. Then they were like, "oh... never noticed. Oh well!" Fortunately for us guys, the wimmins aren't as looks-focused on men as we are on women. Thank goodness!

Maybe if you have like little Leaning Towers of Toenail Fungus for toenails, that might be different. Mine are just a little yellow and not so purdy.

lamisil works great. It worked for me. The perscription version from your doc.

The side effects are that it could affect your liver, which is why the doctor will take a blood test before and after.

It took a few months but now I can go biking and ride a horse and I have that fresh feeling once again...

Thanks Lamisil

you can take Lamisil (tablets), or use this stuff called Penlac. both are prescription and expensive as hell, but they work.

several steps:

Do this right away:
-buy some aerosol Lotramin AF or whatever it is
-pull out the insoles for all your shoes and spray top/bottom and inside your shoes
-use bleach in the shower to kill any leftovers
-don't wear your shoes ALL DAY LONG - take them off as much as you can
-use Lotrimin AF on your toes, etc
-use lots of harsh soap on your toes/feet in the shower and use a plasticbristle-brush (like the srubber from FastOrange)

keep doing this:
-clean your shower with bleach products
-lots of soap/scrubbing on your feet/toes
-aerosol Lotrimin on your feet before you put your socks on
-don't wear your shoes all day long

also:
Lamisil can attack the problem from the other side

I tried to get some Lamisil in the late summer, but my doc said it can potentially damage my liver and I'd need a blood test before she'd write the prescription. Then, with one thing and another, I neglected to take care of it, and then I lost my job (and Lamisil is like $300 for the 6 month run) and it'll be several more weeks before my new health coverage kicks in.

Anybody out there able to score me some grey-market Canadian Lamisil?

Being totally serious, pee on your feet while you're in the shower.
It works miracles for clearing up athletes foot and other bio maladies related to the feet.
