Talking Want Craftsman tools for cheap? (50% off)

Tommorow Sears has 2 nice mechanics tool sets for 50% off. they have a 173pc for $99 (usually $199) and a 248pc for $149 (usually $299). I got the 253pc last year for $149, and I'm thinking of picking up the 248pc cause I lost a few sockets, and my 1/2" ratchet. it would be good to have duplicate sockets, and it would be a waste of money to buy the sockets I'm missing and a 1/2" ratchet with a sweet deal like this. Just thought I would pass along the information. Sears opens at 6am tommorow, and if you want this deal then you better get there early, last year they had sold out of the 253pc tool sets within an hour of opening. I just wish they had the same kind of deals on air tools, I need a cut off tool

Can you get the stuff online at those prices? I might actually have to check that one out and drag myself out there at 6am if not.

I think you can.. not 100% sure tho. alot of times the stores want you to come into the store so you can see all the things they have for sale. its called marketing

Bah...I refuse to fall for their pitiful marketing attempts. The only marketing I like has explosions, women, and beer in it (not necessarily in that order)!

today, on sears.com there is free shipping on everything. You can also choose to buy online, and pick it up in store, that way you can make sure you get the item, altho I still would'nt trust that I am getting the item unless it is in my hands. The other thing you need to do is look thru the box and make sure you get EVERYTHING that it is supposed to come with, I think last year my box was missing a little bag of sockets. some people will take bags out and put it in their box cause the salespeopole don't check them. shoot you could stuff a whole bunch of tools in there and get them for free

I left my latest club circular in the store when I bought my air tools.. so nope, sorry

and no, I'm not kidding, its not shoplifting, its testing the clerks to see if they check the merchandise like they should, cause its their job... (I've worked retail for a while)... I mean of course I would tell them if they did'nt notice it...

ah good.

i found www.craftsman.com has a link to the Club mailer online. You just need to enter the number off your Craftsman Club card to see it.

They've got a screamin' deal on the heavy-duty 1/2" impact gun. It's priced down to $115 for a 400ft-lb max.

It even has a simple adjuster knob on the back.

AND the air-cutoff tool is priced cheap.

But as far as an air rotary tool goes, I've been more than happy with my $29 campbell hausfield tool. It has plenty of torque and speed to run a cut-off wheel, wire brush, grinding stone, whatever.

sweet, I'll have to check the mailer before I go tommorow...

Are they going to have more deals than just the socket sets? Like I am looking to pick up a torque wrench tomarrow and probably an air compressor (for tires), and maybe some other stuff not sure. Would it be worth my time to wake up really early and head off to sears tomarrow?

sorry I did'nt reply sooner..

well just got back from sears, actually I got back at 7am...

they will have some good deals on compressors, saw a bunch actually. they have a smaller one for $99. They have a ton of good deals actually.

bought a 19" TV for $80 since my old one died yesterday, got the 248pc mechanics set since you can never have too many extra sockets, and got the 4pc mini pliers set.

Just got back from Sears....

Jack and 2 jackstands for $25!!!! I picked up two more jackstands for $14, so tire rotations are free at Ron's house. I still need to get a torque wrench though....

The hillbillies here in Indiana are out in full force today! Leaving tomorrow, thank goodness.

I got a torque wrench but thats it (well and a 500 dollar vacuum cleaner, my god its great...but thats for another less manly story).

I got the smaller one that has a larger amount of torque readings. It was a hard decision.

No jacks or jackstands for me, I couldnt find the cheap ones...can still order off sears.com though, maybe I will do that!

anything from slickdeals.net that we can use an additional coupon on that kinds of stuff?

I really want to get some more tools, I might pick up a set to carry to the track days. I also want their new aluminum jack as well.
