Anyone know what a reasonable price would be for a new 2.5 sti short block?

Or did you mean just the price of the asembly from Subaru?

Short block: 10103AB440 MSRP $1421.56 Subaruparts.com $1390.14

Shipping is obviously going to cost a bit.

They're in Tacoma, but I think you'd be talking truck shipping. You should definitely call them (see web site subaruparts.com).

It's at Tacoma Subaru but they don't let you pick it up For a short block maybe they'll work something out

i called and was told that if i pick up i pay full price but if you order it off line then they must ship it to ya. so if you are local it's cheaper to pick up.

Just over at subaruwrxparts.com, STi short block $1375 w/ free shipping, and no sales tax. Few bucks cheaper.
