I am assuming this is directed to me,... yea, the torque wasn't what I was hoping, but then again, with what I ran, who cares!! lol!

The way I see it, its tranny safe torque

what exactly do you mean by that?

FWIW a stock wrx dynoed 171, 179, and 183 on the dyno that I ran on.

Congrats, Doug, on your 12.0 pass! I still haven't had a ride since you completed the swap....hint hint..... You did not post your torque graphs, but judging from your hp, you carry torque real well. Like you said, it's not about peak figures! let dyno queens blab about hp figures that can be corrected to give any number they want. Your power is useful and probably contributed(in addition to custom gears and good driver) to your high trap. You always seem to have a freak set up....or maybe it's the driver.

peace and happy holidays in case I don't see you. hehe

What kind of dyno does Turboxs have? I put down 306hp and 293lbs on a dynojet. And i have the gears on order and my power curve looks pretty similar to yours. So i'm thinking if the dyno numbers are similar i may be close to the 12.0 you got.

So the gears are holding up for you huh? I'm going to be afraid to launch the car. What kind of tires did you have on that run?

Well according to the calculator you have 40 more whp than i do and about the same amount of torque. You graph is very similar to mine as well. I think my torque curve may be a smiggen better. What was the temp when you dynoed? I dynoed at turbochargers.com and they had a dynojet. It was 87 degrees when we dynoed with no ventilation. So i'm thinking i'd be around 315 or so in the cooler weather. Because i trapped 110 and thats usually more than 306. I was just wondering if your times are obtainable with my setup with the gears?

So with my hp and tq what do you think i'll run with the gears?

Like i said my best was 12.73@110.53 on about 65 degrees and a 1.91 spinning through first. I haven't been able to get back into the 12's since then because they haven't prepped the track.

i personally think those gears could be good for 2 tenths alone. maybe more. the usdm wrx gearing just plain sucks.

Does the car seem to pull harder? How are you liking each individual gear ratio now? Are they noisy?

i have the ra gears in the mail so i'm real curious.

i was talking about doug's RA gearing, but i think the turboxs gears would do the same. the more horsepower you have, the more they will help, IMO.

Have you considered picking up some lighter wheels? Reducing your unsprung weight will get you closer to your goal as well
