So its a v7 pending on mileage it should be about ooo 7-8k's
I know a v6 is about 6-7k bare in mind these prices are before tax and freight.

BTW: ben if I had the money I'd buy that engine to help you out!

yes freight is still an unknown right now. it's coming in by sea via singapore. i was supposed to get pics later this week. it's being pulled out of a front cut that was imported from japan right now (or so i'm told).

the suspension parts i think are gone. there is no interior because it's just the front cut, and the steering wheel airbag is popped. the gauge cluster was not mentioned. there might be brembo brakes... i have to check. i remember someone was asking for those on this board... but i seriously doubt they will go for cheap

7-8k Cad roughly, I've been vulturing too much in the forsale forums and sites not to know.

But ben, if you were to buy this engine you might be able to get away with maybe 7500 shipped to vancouver tell custumes its "less" say its a broken engine or something. If you don't its going to be about 10k's if declared as like say 75000.

Good ol' Canada

$5500usd is what he wants for the motor. the seller is firm on the price. shipping is another $500usd, which i'm hoping to split with someone because of the rest of the parts i'm hoping to get.

did all sti's come with a power steering fluid cooler? is that what i see sitting on top of the motor next to the power steering fluid reservoir?

Yeah, that's about right.

Well, all the accessories are rarely sold without the motor, so you're just passing the problem onto somebody else. Unless you can find someone who runs v7 STi engines and blows them regularly, of course. (hint hint, rally guys)

i had wanted to be clear on the accessories because i've seen motors missing a/c, power steering, etc...

Unless I misunderstood your original message, this problem:

Quote:

this guy won't sell what i need without this motor as part of the deal
So, you want to keep the accessories and unload the motor, right? Which means the person either wants the motor only (like a rally team / habitual engine destroyer), or ends up in the same predicament as you.

Unless, of course, I misunderstood your message...

what i need is the 6spd sti parts from another car, but he wants to sell this motor with that transmission as a package deal and he won't separate the two. so it's either everything or nothing at all and i can only afford the transmission

if someone can come up with $5500usd for the engine, i'll pay for the shipping costs on top of what i need for the tranny parts.

update: the brembos are sold.

well rallispec trades a stock 5sp for $2000 US if yoru getting their new 6sp. you could probubly sell it for more privately, like 2300-2800 just all depends on how bad someone needs it i guess.

one of the local wreckers wanted $8kcdn for an ej25t sti 6spd locally... that's just the tranny and nothing else!

basically what i'm looking for is:

ver7/8 jdm 6spd sti non-dccd w/lsd
shift knob/shift boot
clutch/pressure plate/flywheel
shift linkage
sti propeller shaft
sti front driveshafts

i will be doing the ring/pinion r160 conversion for the rear diff until i can save up and get a quaife. it's just too expensive for me to go r180

best price i could find locally was $5000cdn delivered for everything above except for the clutch and flywheel. that was the cannonball-r shop.
