Congrats on finding a low mileage Subaru! XT's are far more fun than their horsepower numbers might suggest. You will definitely want to check out the USMB to chat with thousands of old-school Subie fans around the world.

If it doesn't have "TURBO" plastered all over the car, namely doors and trunklid, it's not turbo. And I personally have never heard of a carbed XT.

Good luck and hope you enjoy the car for many more fun-filled miles!

I have never seen a carbed XT either. I believe they were all EFI. Multiport EFI I am pretty sure. (havn't seen an SPFI setup one one yet either) If it doesnt have a TURBO light on the dash that comes on when you lay on it, its just MPFI.

thanks for the help. I figured mine is non-turbo, so does anyone know of any aftermarket companys that make turbos for this car, or could i maybe just take the turbo off of another old subie?

you really should check on the USMB, but I would just try to grab a turbo setup off a turboed XT or GL-10 or something...
