Default OT: Skunked!!!

GF let the dogs out this evening, andů

You'd figure that after meeting Mr. Black and White FOUR times already, my dog would have the brains to figure it's NOT a cat. fifth time in as many years...
Went to Safeway and saw Dendrobium's Wagon, (which always looks good and makes me envious,) Got a few cans of Tomato juice and now the house smells like skunk and tomato juice

Just wanted to rant...

Yeah, that's about right.

Ok, you've piqued my curiosity. What exactly does a dog do when skunked?

At first, when you said, "the GF let the dogs out" -- I thought that was a euphemism for letting one loose!

Cats rule and dogs drool.

Is the tomato juice used to clean the dog up?

Actually, I was told you can get a special wash from the vet or pet store. Not sure if it's more effective than tomato juice or not.

Oh, and trade that dog in for a cat. They aren't dumb enough to get skunked.

Hi tricky - my gf spotted you and your gf filling up at the Lougheed/Kensington overpass Chevron the other day too -- guess we live pretty close to each other

I wonder if there is an increase in the skunk population in Bby? I'm sure my brother spotted one roaming around in our backyard, and it seems every other week you'll drive along a stretch of road that has been obviously "skunked" -- then you get home and realize your car's tires/carport/garage smells for days.

So.. does the tomato juice solution really work? or is it one of those urban myths?

see you in the neighbourhood!

Talking

Maybe I'd trade him for a Cat-back!

The tomato juice kinda works. it takes the edge off the smell. And it's safest for the dog's eyes.

Cat-back eh? Maybe Spooled would be interested..

How does your dog like the tomato juice? Did he try to squirm away or try to drink most of it?

Yeah, I see you often! Sometimes by CG Brown in the morning, and at Kensington plaza.

he's a dinkus in the bath. he hates baths whining and trying to jump out constantly, but TRY to keep him out of rivers/ lakes/ the ocean/ muddy puddles etc... go figure.

He apparently drank a lot of the tomatoe juice. My GF was cool enough to bath him as SHE let him out unsupervised. I've had the pleasure too many times before, so it was a welcome break.
