Default NEED HELP PLEASE! leak on GC8 2.5rs!!

Ok heres my prob.... i hit some ice about 2 weeks ago, and went up and one one of those yellow curb things in the middle of the road, Well thought nothing of it, car still ran like new. Then all hell broke loose, car started leakin coolant. Hmmm, well i havent had any overheating, nor coolant in the oil. So 2 good things there. So i decided to get under the car and check these things out. Turns out, the exhaust is bent really bad. There is only about 3/4 of an inch for the air to pass through. Now the car doesnt run worst sense this happen. Runs like the day i first got it.
The leak isnt all that bad, it only drips about every 30seconds... it leaks from the back of the block, on the very bottom.
If anyone can help, please PM me ASAP!!
PLEASE!!
heres some pictures of what i got going on!!

The dent in the exhaust is outlined right here.

is the bend on the exhaust in the header or cat section?

For either you can fiind somewhat cheap after market replacements.

for the coolant leak, you really need to hunt it down (up) to the source, it is bad for pressure and what not in there.

You might want to think about claiming this on your insurance. A coolent leak anywhere else is not too big a deal, but right off the block there? I would be nervous. If the exhaust bend is where I think it is, (hard to tell with the pics,) I think you're okay. Looks like it might just be a cat, or heat shield (which is why it would run ok)... again, hard to see.

You are in a pinch with the coolant leak. You can't pinpoint the leak because you can't get under there while it's running, and you don't have the visability. so you have 2 options:

1. Live with it. Probably not a good idea. Any distance driving and you'll be nervous as hell, and who nows what a leak could turn into.

2. Take it in. If you take it in by yourself, the mechanic will make out like it is a huge deal and ream your wallet good. IF you go in on an ins, claim, you have a $500 deductable anyway, and then your ins will take a higher hike.

My suggestion: Take it to at least 2 different mechanics. Taht will probably run you like $50 each. Take it to your favorite mechanic second, as this is the guy that will be fixing it if it is feasable for you. Hell, you might even roll the dice with your Subaru dealer. 6 months ago I would not have suggested it, but my local dealership took care of me, and I have been hearign stories about how Subie dealers are actually being decent to us recently.

BTW after thinking about it... and guessing at the location... It might just be a waterpump gasket.

If your leak is by arrow 1, you are gonna have problems.

If your leak is closer to arrow 2 or foward, the problem might not be as bad as you think it could be, again, maybe only a waterpump gasket, or waterpump itself.... hell it could be a hose dripping down if it is in this area.

ok so i nerrowed it down... it got nice out today, & it's not so cold outside!
i got some new pictures
So im pretty sure this is what started it all!
Not to sure.... but man. IT LOOKS BADDDDDD!!!!

here some pictures of where it's leaking!
i have marked where it is leaking out of.

The size of the square is the size of the leak... it drips right down off the bottom of the white tap. It only leaks after it was running, and only drips about every 30 seconds.

OK! well the exhaust looks a lot worse in those pics! You might want to consider replacing it.

As far as the leak... you did not answer my question. Is it the front or the back?!

Ya know in the movies where they show a scene of an object, and it is some kind of weird thing you can't identify? And then they zoom out and THEN you can see what it was they were showing you.... yeha it's like that... your zoomed in.. those pics could be off the space shuttle for all I can tell.

Just by looking at the size of the dent on the exhaust, you might've upset the headgasket seal. I'd definately have it checked out.
