Default Anybody sell the Enkei ES tarmacs stateside?

These are a very nice cast wheel, that are relatively light. The size I'm looking at is 16X8 45et weigh in at ~ 14.5 lbs!

Got a wonderful quote from Japan on the wheels @ ~ $187/wheel, the kicker was shipping @ $400 .

Anybody sell these stateside?

Thanks

Big Sky

No one does that I'm aware of. I've looked into it and they aren't available from Enkei US, so those that sell US Enkei wheels don't have them. I'm sure you got the quote from IRS Autosport, they have very good pricing. I was going to try and arrange a group buy of the wheels, as I was interested in the 17x9 wheels. Even at 17x9 they are only around 16.5 lbs. Red Rocket on the board has the wheels, from IRS. Even with shipping it's still alot less than what you'd pay for a set of Volks. Unfortunately there is no real break on shipping. Was the $400 for boat or air shipping?

$400 was for air. I'm going to get a ship cost-no giant hurry. The best price I've found on the gram lights (same size) is $969 shipped- which is isn't too terrible (at least compared to the TE's I bought earlier).

If you ever get the urge to go to 17's, let me know as I'd be interested in yours.

Both the Gram Lights and the Tarmac look like very good wheels, I'd be happy w/ either.

If someone did put a GB together on these wheels in 17x8.5, I would definately jump in. I can't seem to find any wheels in an 8.5 width that aren't over $400 a piece, plus these are lightweight too. I would jump at the chance.

I'll be getting a quote for a slow boat- about 1 month. Hopefully much cheaper, we'll see.

I wonder if it would be worth contacting a Enkei dealer to see about a group buy, maybe they have to sell only what the US distributor allows?

Big Sky, I could be wrong, but I think Nino get's his wheels from Japan, not from Enkei USA. It's worth checking out, at least.

I've talked to Nino before and he does get them from Enkei US, he couldn't get them the last time I checked.

Damn!

I do have one other shot, I've got a buddy in Japan that might be able to do better on the Gram Lights- he'll be back there in January.

I've been after these for a long time, but fortuantely now we have the Enkei RPF-1 and the 5Zigen FN01R-C in a 17x8.

I'd still LOVE to get my hand on a 16x8 or 17x9 Tarmac ES if there's a GB.

The timing for a GB would be pretty good actually. Most would want these by March-April-ish I'm guessing, plenty of time for a slow boat to make it over.

Just got the "ship" shipping costs for a set four wheels- $177, better than $400, but still mighty expensive. Said it takes roughly a month.

$187 X 4 (16X8) = $748
shipping = $177
total = $925

It's almost a wash for me w/ the gram lights @ $969 shipped

GB would cut the cost of the price of wheels as well as shipping.
