Talking Kick Ass Shifter

A little FYI, for those of you looking to upgrade your shifter...

STI shift linkage + CUSCO Shift Bushings + JC Sports Short Shifter = KICK ASS

Unfortunately I can't say which gives the biggest improvement. I had the STI linkage and bushings installed first, which only gives around a 15% reduction, but shifting is considerably smoother and tighter. The Syms Shifter linkage is something like 50% reduction, but is too notchy and not tight enough for my taste.

Then the JC Short Shifter was installed next, and WOW! Not only is shifting clean thanks to the linkage, but the short shifter tightened it up more and dramatically reduced shifting lengths.

The setup is around $450 - $500, but well worth it.
