Default Perrin adjust short shifter

any one using this short shifter, i just bought it and i wish i went with the B&M... , i mean this shifter is ok... but its really rough into first, i bent the metal tab up so it would get clearance but you can only bend it up so much , AND it still RUBS! argh, any one else having problems with this damn short shifter?

if you want your shifts that short just cut a notch in the plate. take a dremel to it and go at it. that is the only thing to do. i set mine in the middle something like 52-54mm and i'm not touching the plate after bending it.

Or you could bend the tabs up on the plate about 30 degrees or cut them off, and rotate the plate 180 degrees to get your clearance.

you mean a kartboy LOL
the B&M shifters have the same amount of interference as the others.
my thoughts are to lower it a little bit or bend the plate more..

I just did this install on an 04...

Did you remeber to turn the stock shifter around? If you didn't. this will make it bind worse...

I felt the kartboy, and also now know how the perin feels, and it is very similar. The big thing is, with the perrin you have the worry of it coming loose, but nothing a lil red loc-tite can't fix.

The thing I liked the best? It cost me 50 bucks less than the KB.
