Unhappy Trouble With Canada Customs

I ordered a sony lithium ion battery for my digital camera off ebay 2 weeks ago and today I recieved a letter from Customs Canada that they are with holding my battery because it was "non-mailable" material and that it would be disposed of or sent back to the sender.

I'm pretty annoyed

Now what should I do?

Lithium batteries are considered dangerous goods as per the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act.

Batteries, lithium
(Accumulateurs, piles au lithium)

I have order something for my car a month ago from the States,. Neither USPS nor Canada Post has it, I guess Custom is holding it now for more than three weeks now.

They have been picky so much more picky as of late, so its no surprised they'll be a little more hard on the little people. Batteries are not mailable especially through customes. If you're not far from the border you could mail it to a place like the letter carrier at point roberts and then just pick it up. You could go around it like that, but thats only a suggestion.

How come u didn't purchase it so you get e-tickets at the airport instead of paper tickets? That way just show up, get e-ticket, check your stuff in, and fly.

That's what I usually do, but my dad sent me up the ticket. I'm sure it'll get here sometime this week.

Haha. Back to Orange County in sunny California. My grandma's watching over the car. I dunno if she'll give it back when I return, haha.
