Default Pics and movie of gf, me and the WRX playing in today's blizzard

We had a blast going out in the snow-tire-shod WRX today. Here's a small selection of the pics and movies we took with the Coolpix 2500. Enjoy.

For starters, two 15 second clips I quickly spliced together and ghetto-edited (complete with WRC theme ) in Movie Maker:
http://home.comcast.net/~kaisander/o...storm_2003.wmv (link fixed! )

First set of pics:

Driving north away from the CT coast in search of quiet country roads.

Success!

Heading back to the city; plows weren't keeping up even with occasional breaks in the snow squalls.

Driving south of the city along the coast.

Second set of pics:

Decided to go visit one of the local beaches. Yeah, it was slightly cold and windy:

Guy in a jeep enjoying the snow (even told me I had a nice car...probably because I was the only non-Jeep/SUV that ventured into the park):

Pics of Teh Snowy Beast:

$75 Dunlop Graspic DS-1's...booya.

Last couple of pics:

The gulls weren't enjoying the snow as much as us.

Was convinced by Sarah that driving up this hill and scaring the bejebus out of the sledders was "ill advised."

Finally home around 3pm. Blizzard was still raging (as it is now).

Sweet pics dude.

We here in SoCal don't understand the concept of snow, or "all-season tires" for that matter.

GREAT thread! I really like that part about wanting to drive on the sledding hill. I awoke to the East coast blizzard all over the news today. Looks like serious stuff out there. Drive safe!

-Scott A.

PS Cool video too! I like the music
I want to get my WRX in the snow but at the moment all I have are tires that saw heavy track use last summer.

Cool! I'm about a block from the Landmark on Greyrock Pl.

I guess you didn't get to play in the snow yesterday because of the unplanned-for deer mod, right? What are you driving these days?

Btw, to any New Yorkers or CTers, have they still not been able to clear your roads fully either? Maybe I'll go out again today.
