Kinda disappointed. Averaged 8.25 with G-tech. I guess I should expect that with only a PDM intake and Cobb exhaust.

My 0-60 was also disappointing, but in my '00 RS instead. I managed to take off nearly 1 full second on my 0-60 though. It went from a stock 9.6 to my current 8.7. On a good day I manage to get it all the way down to 8.4. I don't do any special launching technique though, just step on the gas and go! I'm sure I could do better if I had a launch technique, but I don't feel like damaging the car just for a few tenths of a second shaved off my 0-60.

Mine's the slowest! 2.2 and 4EAT.

I wonder if a 1.8 manual can beat me...

Yes, 4EAT
I'm hoping that after I get the Cobb Stage 2 Power Package in the spring I can get my 0-60 mph time close to 8.0 secs flat.

hahaha, o yea. i got beat by a 91 honda accord! the motor had abou 100,000 miles on it too. i think my car is the slowest. 2002 RS 4eat and oz prodrive rims that weigh about 21 pounds by itself (each). my car is shtinkin slow. i tried to time 0-60. ghettoway, no gtec. just started counting "one onethousand, two onethousand...etc." until i reached 60. i think it was almost 10 sec. jeez...it did get little quicker, but not that much. (ganzflow intake, stromung......datsbout it.) o well. its fun on the turns, and thats what i care about most.

Manual or 4EAT? Also, any exhaust work?

Most of you must be talking about 4EATs? My 00RS with Cobb CAI, 5Zigen exhaust and grounding mod isn't STI fast, but it's faster than a RSX-S to 60, for whatever that's worth. After that, the RSX takes over. And that's with a very soft launch, no clutch dropping.

But our cars aren't straight-line monsters...they really fly on twisty, messy roads. Rally cars, not dragsters.

Hold the brake and the gas at the same time. When you are ready to go, let off the brake, and floor it. It will shave a few tenths off, and is actually better than just stabing the throttle.

OBSs are heavier than the RS/L wagons in general because of suspension mods. and the '02+ are heavier still because of the structural changes. an '03 OBS is around 400 or so pounds heavier than a '98-'01 RS.
