Default yokohama avs es100 + snow = slide...and slide a lot.

yea...snow was on the road and i was drivng like a grandma... cuz i stil lgot summer tires... could not stop at a stop sign at all...i gave up on the brakes and just downshifted.... turning = bad. definately some unecessary understeer, but some extra throttle fixed that...

it sux...im sittin here with an AWD vehicle driving like a RWD grandma cuz my tires dont work in the snow...

yeah a FWD with snow tires would be far superior to ANY AWD with summer tires.

I had to get by with kumho MXs early saturday morning. They sucked, but careful driving made everything OK. No other cars on the road made me a little less nervous, too. RE-92s, here I come!

if you've got a second set of rims, it makes perfect sense to just get genuine snow tires (if/when you can afford them).

The difference between snows and allseasons is fairly dramatic.
