I don't know how much a shop would charge, but most of the threads I saw when I searched were well north of $1000. I think the cheapest was like 1300, and some went up almost to 2000.

I know you can get the parts to do it yourself for about $150 or so, if you are into the DIY kinda thing. I bought all the parts, now I just have to make the time to actually start turnin wrenches on it.

Wouldn't it be cheaper and better just to get another engine. That way you still have one to yank parts from!

and again how does this have to do with headgaskets leaking?

5/60 powertrain warranty will cover head gaskets.

...Well the night before we had got some snow, and it melted off over night. Well it ended up turning in to some ice on parts of the road. I ended up going up to the post office to ship out some items i sold on ebay. Well when i was leaveing there was quite abit of traffic on the way out, and i had to kinda gun it to get outta there ... well as you know AWD (at some times!, but didn't work out to good for me!!)and ice don't mix... i got really sideways and had no control over my car!!

Well i ened up hoping one of those yellow curbs in the middle of the road. my car is lowered 1.8inchs in the front, and 1.3inchs in the back, so all and all, i ened up hitting my header and pushing up on the whole drivers side head!

so im pretty sure that it messed up the head-gasket or something around that area! it leaks ALOT of coolant!

Heres some pictures in took for the insureance!

Also how does that 5/60 powertrain warranty work?

one messed up header!!
There is only about 3/4 for the air to flow!!

The arrow is pointing right where the leak is, the arrow is also pointing towards the passanger side off the car.

I've done mine my self. Took me a week, cost me ~60 for new timing belt, around 90 for headgasket and about 70$ for the torque wrench.

Never dont anything like that before, took a lot of notes, and pictures. Religiously followed torque specs.

5000 miles, not a problem. Dealer quote was $2700
