Probably just means swapping the bugeyes with the 04 style headlights. It's been done and posted on here but it's a HUGE waste of money. You need to replace practically the whole front end.

It'd be probably be cheaper to sell your 02-03 and buy an 04, even w/ depreciation... and why anyone would want to trade down from the bugeyes to the crosseyes is beyond me A set of Morettes or STi headlights is a lot cheaper and will improve the frontend a lot... plus you get to keep the big-ass fog lights.

D-I-Z-Z-L-E's thread. The interesting thing for me is that he thinks converting an 04 to an 03 would be just as easy. Mm, bugeyed STi.

honestly i hated the bugeyes when they first came out. But i love them now, looks neat. 04 ones looks nice but only when the headlights are cleared out. Orange reflectors really ruin how they look.

I'm pretty sure you just need orange lights up front. Some people have bulbs that look silver but flash orange.

No, pretty sure it's a federal law that you must have orange reflectors on the front of the car that appear orange regardless if there is a bulb behind them or not. Believe me, if the car mfgrs could use the same damned Euro "clears" that they do in the rest of the goddam world, they would do it in the US too. It's not coincidence that every car in the US has to have em, and you will rarely see them on any European or JDM spec version.

PS - here is a pic of my 03 "converted" to 04
