Default VIN question...

I'm buying this engine, just wanted to confirm it's origin, looks to be a EJ205???






Can you tell by the vin if it's a US version?

Well I don't know how Canada's VINs look, but that is definetely a North American VIN plate. It's NOT JDM or EDM, they have entirely different looking VIN plates. If you look at the plate, it says "Engine Type: EJ205xxxxx" So yeah. It's a new age USDM Impreza WRX.
