Post Nascar is now better than Rally!!!

Well, obviously I'm kidding, but have you seen them on the road courses. It's one of the best things ever. Where else can you see so many accidents. Some guy went into a wall at about 80. Great stuff. Never thought I'd like Nascar. I'll only like it for about two days though. Don't worry. Spinouts galore, do these cars have suspension, or are the tires just bolted to 2x4's.

Wink

Unfortunately, they only have two road courses(one of which is my home course in Sonoma County, ie Sears Point). I didn't go because I hate Nascar. I prefer F1, Champ, Rally and motorcycle races.

Nascar= watching the race is boring. watching the wrecks is exciting.

Rally= watching the race is exciting. watching the wrecks is depressing.

Hey very simple - bring touring cars to the US - BTCC style - get some manufacturers top pony up the cash a bit instead of sinking vast sums of cash into NASCAR and get some GOOD drivers signed up

road sourses only or as an alternative u could suggest bringing the DTM series to US

really rocks

not sure what the good ole boys would say about opel calibras that can do really quick lap times though

cheers

Jeff

I just ran my Scooby at Watkins Glen. Too bad NASCAR, for safety reasons, doesn't run the whole course (they skip The Boot). Difficult damn track mainly due to the elevation changes. Road course = interesting for just about ANY type of motor racing, IMO.

Thumbs up

The best road course action is touring car (Brittish and Aussie.)
I once saw a race where this one driver was a dork and smashed another off the track. The second driver then came back the next lap and smashed the first driver off the track... No penalties on either driver, and what great action! I couldn't stop laughing/cheering!
