Default HVAC Problem

I posted this in the Legacy forum, but nobody seems to be able to give me any advice (or they just don't like me ) I'm hoping someone here can help me out:

Hey guys,

I just changed the HVAC bulbs in my 98 Legacy GT . . . it's nice to be able to see the HVAC controls at night!

Unfortunately, after I put everything back together, I am no longer getting any hot air from the vents when I set the temp control in the "red zone" of the gauge (ie. hot temp). Everything else is normal. Can anyone help me out and let me know what may be causing this?? Thanks.

take it back out and make sure you hooked everything back up. Im not sure if that door is cable or vacuum operated, I want to say its cable operated , so check and make sure you hooked it back up or it didnt break off the back of the door, when you took the unit out/

McDade,

The problem appears to be that the door (which is cable operated - it's hooked onto a lever that is attached to the temperature control module) is sticking in such a way that when I slide it to the cold position and then slide it back to hot, I still get cold air. In order to get hot air, I have to reach under the dash from thepassenger side footwell and manually slide the door to the hot position (there is a lever that is connected to the cable). I'm not sure why it's sticking 'cause it will move when I slide the climate control module from hot to cold, just not the other way around. Very puzzling (and frustrating too!)
