Have a Nice Day? Problem with neighbors about your car?

Up until today I didn't. Sucks being the sorta new guy on the block that is renting and not actually owning a place. Anyone else here ever gotten complaints?

First of all, I wish I could scoobynut his damn lawn and everything else he owns. Secondly, I'm biased already cuz he drives a damn Ford pickup. (I hate rock chips, etc)

He actually parked his pickup truck in front of me, got out, and tells me that its not a drag strip, and I was riding his ass (1-1.5 carlengths not good enough in the back lane while driving pretty slow on ice?), plus he said he has to "hear my Muthaf***ing exhaust all the time." I always get home around dinnertime mind you.. Is it really that bad?

Funny, my landlord never said anything about it in the last 6 months since I've moved in. Last few times I drove drove by, I don't recall driving "fast" at all. Fast = loud?

From now on I think I'll just drive by slow but LOUD. Good God.. Wish I could tell him to just suck it but I've got no garage to secure my car with.

Damn kenny..only solution here is to move back

Weird because just this afternoon as I was leaving the undergorund parking, I just met my 3rd floor neighbour. He asked about 15 questions about the Subaru Impreza. He loves it

well sorry to hear about your annoying neighbors -

i agree u should just tell time off but ur scooby is unprotected... u should consult ur landlord to see if he got any bright ideas about it. If nothing else u could laugh as he gives u some stupid advice.

Or u could always move...

best of luck

Hmm.. 2 words..

Redneck...

welcome to Calgary...

Okay, maybe not.. but I see and hear lots of other loud exhausts in the city. My friend's BMW 328 sounds like a straight exhaust... but she says no one complains.. she just drives it home slow but even at idle, it's frigin LOUD..

I can hear her driving 2 blocks away coming to pick me up. Funny thing, neighbours then take a look out their window to see who the hell is making all that noise.

Thanks for the support guys.. I totally agree with the redneck comment.. I mean, he was walking away as I was speaking to him last night.

Well tonite after I turned onto the main road of my neighborhood from a 4-way stop, I noticed a pickup was behind me quite a ways back til I was a min or so from the stop sign (going speed limit of course).. the guy leaves pretty much 1-2 carlengths and wouldn't u know it, it was another pretty new Ford pickup. After that stop sign he then proceeded to ride my ass real close (~25km/h) up to the point I turned into my normal back lane entrance like yesterday... as if I was holding up traffic.. But he didn't follow me in.

Maybe I was imagining things but ever since I noticed it following me I thought his high beams were on and off, on and off. It didn't occur to me to try and remember if that was a crew cab or the license plate, etc since I "doubted" it was him. Unless he was waiting for me to get to that 4-way to begin with. Damn bugger..

So I parked my car (which happens to be behind a tool shed) and looked in the mirror for a minute but no sign of him pulling into his driveway (that redneck's pickup was not there tonite). Weird.

Anyone up for a stakeout? I'm so sick of being a nice guy. I need a gun rack on my Impreza.

Only way to beat these people is by using your head.

Dont do anything stupid to stoop to their level (stakeout). This is not supposed to take over your life!!

Where does it say that it's his parking spot? If it's first come first serve street parking then tough shi*. Ask him for paper work or ask him shut the hell up.

Then ask him if he has paperwork proving your exhaust is too loud. Again, if not, ask him not to even speak with you and to get evidence. Everyone perception of "loud" is different.

If this fails, put this is a polite letter and give him a copy.

Science and brains. This hurts them most.

Take the high road.

Get some headers and go catless. Also give a couple good blips of the gas before you leave.

that's it.
