Default need an EA82 turbo build sheet

I am rebuilding an EA82 turbo at school and was wondering if someone has or could tell me where to find a build sheet for it. Maybe like an exploded view of the motor showing where everything is located and how it all goes back together. thanks fellas

Go here:

and download the EA82 service manual (it's a 1989 Subaru service manual). The turbo blowup is in part 2 on page 95 (of the PDF).

Default sorry but,

i serious disagree with the haynes or chilton manual suggestion.

They both are missing a few crucial points for engine teardowns.

A few alignment points are not touched on for swapping T-belts.

Torque spec's are too generalized for heads, cam housingsings, and other areas too.

I have the FSM (Factory Service manuals) and the pictures and directions are VERY well setup. Which is kinda funny considering the *typical* tech writtings tend to be a bit confusing to people.

the bay of E usually has the FSM's at usually half the cost of a dealership.
The manuals are sperated as follows:
Book 1 is Section 1 (Basically its a "welcome to your car" and all the scheduled maintance and the dealer preping setup in it)

Book 2 is section 2 and 3 (2= engine section, 3 = MT and AUto sections 2WD and 4WD included)

Book 3 is Section 4 and 5 (body and electrical respectively)

I'd recomend hunting for a book 2 (Sections 2 and 3) from 1886 to 1992 of the EA82 engine platforms.
That would include the RX/DL/GL/GL-10/Loyale which are the body styles: sedan, Hatchback, and wagons or the XT coupes But, not the XT6 as its the ER27 engine platform.

As your engine is a Turbo model do you know of the Cylinderhead generation markings for structural quality and thermal life issues?
There are 3 generations... more info as you need it can easily be given.... figure thats enough babbling for now....

enjoy the shop class.... I did where I took it.
