Space Shuttle Trip

I did not get any response on my last post regarding the upcoming subaru iclub space shuttle visit. I have 8 people that are currently scheduled to attend the tour. The tour is scheduled for the 15th of July and might be pushed back to the 22nd at latest.

Hello JC..

I am presently employeed at Beoing Reusable Space Systems. My job is to work on various components of the Main Propulsion System on the Orbiter Fleet.

I am bringing a group of iclub members that showed interest about a month ago in going on a tour of Columbia in Palmdale CA. Its being refitted with some new electronics and other maintenence items.

If this tour goes well, then I will open up another tour. My boss encourages us to give tours of the shuttles. After all its your tax dollars that keep those candles lit!

DUDE you got to be kiding!! From the 14-16 I'm out on a mini-vacation. That SUCKS big time! Man hopefully it is sheduled for the next week end.

Thanks again for putting this together! I was gone for a few days, and must have missed your last post, my apologies.

It looks like I can do the 15th of July, but not the weekend after. Please let me know what the date ends up being...

Guys I am sorry for the date. Most people wanted me to get this done as fast as I could. Thats what I did. I cant keep changing the dates. Its too much paperwork. I asked for first available.. and they said that they might be able to squeeze me in for the 15th..

I just made a phone call and it is confirmed the 15th.. at 10 am. I am very sorry if you cant make it. It would not be practicle for me to try to plan around 8 peoples schedule. All I can do is make it as soon as possible. Rally Man I am deeply sorry for the outcome, there is nothing I can do. But dont loose faith my friend, there will be other trips if this one works out.

Oh well, I'll bring my Moby with me and everything should be fine. Anyway... like i said I'll be there.

We are going to need to get directions from you of some sort and a meeting place set aside. Let us know where and when... I guess I'll see everyone in about... what 18 days or something??

I am working on a place to meet, and a time. If people want to caravan there, then I will try to make plans accordingly. If not it might be easier to agree to meet somewhere in Palmdale, CA and go from there. I think that caravaning might prove difficult. I will ask security how many cars can enter the facility..I think we will be okay. There is not that many of us after all.

Things you will need to bring:

proof of insurance, registration of vehicle, some sort of picture ID.

You may bring a camera if you like. I do not recommend watches or jewelery. Leave them in the car.

More info to come. I will let you know way ahead of schedule. I dont like getting things at the last minute, and I assume you folks dont either.

moby is a musician who makes what is usually called electronic music. his most recent record is very eclectic though. you like or you dont thats pretty much the deal with moby.

I am still rather new to the California area.. any suggestions on a large enough place that we could all meet.
