You wont have a problem! I told them and they sent me a new one right away and no charge on good faith that I would send my craked old ones back to them, which I did. Very nice people to work with, took me 2 minutes on the phone and 4 days to recieve them!

Dan
PS: Mine cracked where they had the metal plate joining two pipes together.

good luck, they didn't honor crap when mine went b/c i didn';t have the original receipt. so i tried using logic..which went way over their heads.

i said....if they are gen 2 and came out in 19xx year and you have a million mile warranty, and my car had xx,xxx miles on it, it would be impossible for them to be out of warranty.

buuuut whatever. good luck.

yah.. i tried that mileage thing too.. but what i had to do was grind off the plate and get most of the origional weld off.. (had to be careful) and took another similar plating down .. had a metals shop run a weld on the crack and reweld the plate back on.. cost me about 25 bucks

but oh well, thats how the cookie crumbles.

did I say my car sound AWWWFUUULL! omg, its so embarrasing...

I dont see the hole!

Just have it rewelded. Its not expensive or complicated.

I would make rewelding your 2nd option if they dont honor the warranty. Too bad to hear that some of you didnt have the same experience with them as i did. Anyway, give the warranty a shot and hope they comply, if not, re welding is not a bad option at all.

They were great for my replacement. I had the same brace crack that a lot of people had.

Their first offer was for me to take it to a shop and have them weld it, for which they would pay. Since the first to shops I went to didnt do stainless steel, they ended up just shipping me a new one. They even gave me free shipping to send mine back.

It was the best warrenty deal I have had as of yet.

you could just have a muffler shop reweld it... probably take less time... might cost a few bucks but it won't take forever.

Note, if you weld them yourself, your warentee = voided. Just exchange em for the latest gen, and hope you don't get another crack prior to your million miles.
