Thumbs up Top Gears Exotic car episode

I had the chance to watch the episode of Top Gear where they test a Ferrari Testarossa, a Countach, and a few other cars including the Lotus Carlton. What a cool episode! They even give the costs to buy one of the 1980's super cars in present times. Man have the costs of those cars plummeted. I would have to say that by far the coolest car in the whole show was the Lotus Carlton. man that thing was incredible! Talk about a sleeper. A 4DR Black sedan with a tasteful rear wing and bodykit. You would never have known that under the hood is a twin turbo setup that delivers 360hp and over 450lbs of torque! A top speed of over 170mph and oh yah did I say over 450lbs of torque? Man was that thing fast. They took it for a drive around the Lotus test track to open it up a little. It has the same 6spd tranny as the Corvette. It also lacks traction control. They'd get the car into a corner and the back end would get to sliding it through the corner. The inside wheel was smoking the entire time. The one announcer ended up getting it to spin around on him. Man what a cool car. When they gave the price I thought I had been dreaming. 15,000 Pounds. That's all. Sure the insurance was about 6K a year but a car like that almost begs for those kinds of rates. Nothing like a car you can take on long rides, seats 5 fairly comfortly, and can launch at a stop light faster then a LT1 Corvette. Too bad the US never saw that car either. I'd have to say the entire episode was worth spending lunch to watch. Man does Speedvision need to air this show.
