Have a Nice Day?

I think that one of those drove OVER me on the way to work the other day

The things that the Big3 come up with some times scares me.

-Arioch
What's this? only 868lb-ft of torque? Why so little?

But does it come with the Rhino kit option? You know how dangerous suburban Rhinos can be!

FYI, it doesn't WEIGH 23000 lbs, it's GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) is 23,000 lbs. That means that it can support 23k lbs of people, gear, fuel, bricks and whatever (including it's own weight in that total).

Question

What's so bad about that? I'd much rather see someone hauling their huge travel trailer around with one of those instead of some underpowered SUV- it'd be a hell of a lot safer. In fact, it may even cause a few of the people currently driving Subeerbans to opt for the big red mutha and who knows, maybe a Subaru, so it could possibly eliminate a few of the SUV's y'all seem to love to piss and moan about incessantly. I really doubt you're going to see anyone using that behemoth to commute to their city job or the soccer game... It's definitely not for me, but if I was one of the many cross-country trailering fanatics (with really really deep pockets!) I'd give it a hard look. F600 through F800 trucks have been available for a while in your choice of cab configurations, ready to take your own custom body. It's not like this is something new, it's just a package deal. You guys need to get a grip.

I fired off this link to a buddy of mine, just for laughs... and he said "OH! THAT is what it was!" He saw one on I-90 in Washington state this weekend, and no, it was not towing a load.

Welcome to the Pacific Northwest, present your SUV card to continue...

That's it if they build and sell those things to soccer moms I am going to take out a loan and install the Onboard Personal Injury Lawyer (OPIL). Then as soon as they hit me we can start court procedings. I may have to move the monkey to the backseat in order to fold Johnny Cochran into the trunk but imagine their surprise when he pops out of the trunk with the rest of the dream team.

Well okay, any moron that's going to drive that as their daily vehicle deserves all the bashing you guys are bound to put out. I don't think anybody SANE is going to take that to a soccer game, though... As for seeing one un-tethered going down the road, if you've ever had the honor of piloting 50+ feet of rig down the road, you'd unhitch in a picosecond to go fuel up for fear of having to slaughter some bastard in a riced-out Geo Metro that thinks you oughta be able to manuever around his "I got there first so it's your problem" attitude...

dch, it won't change anything, they're only making 300 of those. The poseurs will by a lot of those.

HAHAHAHA! You underestimate them. The F6-800 have been available, but not with anything that could even be considered luxurious, or even comfortable for that matter.

I can't beleive someone took the SUV Poseur Page's idea and turned it into a real truck. This is funny as hell.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!

LOL Canyonero, that is one of my favorite episodes. Reminded me so much of my mother in law when she got her Grand Cherokee.
