Post Pics of my 5Zigen/STi takeoff suspension (finally!)

Well, it's still "today" on the west coast at least.

Here they are. I have 3 to start with.

They're small bitmap files, so you should have no problems viewing them and the quality is decent even if they're way too small. I spent about $20 at Kinko's today trying to figure out their archaic copier, and I scanned in a ton of these, but only a few came out nice.

That being said...here they are:

I will put up the other 3 or so quality ones. I really need to jack a digicam from somewhere. This develop/scan thing is killing my wallet.

Let me know what you think!

Oh, and the decal on the back- BOXER4RACING.COM - that's courtesy of Dale Teague. A very nice decal, I have a trunk shot that I'll crop and dig up.

Have a good one.

Very nice! I like it. It's lowered just right, so it looks good, but not so much that it looks stupid. I like it.

Overtime:
What kind of intake is that? Or did you just add a Cone filter?
I also noticed you have a MY99 so have you had any MAF failures from that intake setup?
Thanks

WRC-

That is an old Turn3 setup I bought used off of an i-club member a few months ago. It works great, keeps the stock plenum, heat shield, etc.

Not really made for a 99, but I have had no MAF problems and other than some shoving to get the MAF to extend to the filter/filter adapter I have had no problems. No bottom end loss at all, in fact, a little gain, and a good bit of gain on the top end. Very nice growl at the top end.

I may actually be selling it depending on how Cobb Tuning's intake comes out. We'll see. I need some more top-end power. I was getting thrashed by a 1st gen DSM on my way to Asheville.

I want a genuine tube intake but I'm not doing the whole JC Sports thing again.

Have a good one.

Hey that looks great! I have got my V5 struts but I have to get springs now I was leaning toward V5 springs but after seeing this ???? This and te V5s are my two choices.

By the way Vivarettes garage in Rocky Mount will intsall my suspension. The owner has a legacy and actually knows what he's doing.
He's not Dale Teague but he is 20 min. away not 6 hours. I'll post the results when I get the install.

Are you going to the Auto-X in Rocky Mount on the 14th and 15th?

Hey Dolphin,

I'm planning on going to the Rocky Mount auto-x, yeah, since that way I can drive back reasonably. It's going to depend on two things, really-whether I have to work that weekend and whether I have cash.

Both are kind of hinging on this week, so I'll check back in after that. If you want, you can drive my car for a little if your suspension isn't in by then.

I really like this setup. The more I drive it the more I realize it was a great compromise between "race"-that is to say a full STi aftermarket suspension or a Prodrive GT suspension-while not being too "street" (like the H&Rs).

I need to invest in a bigger sway bar, a new set of brake pads, and two new seats ASAP, though. All of those things need some upgrading.

Post up pics as soon as you get your suspension set up!

Have a good one.
