Default 95 WRX swap question

Im am going to try and do a 95 wrx swap into my 94 1.8 impreza so i was wondering if anybody knows if i have to get new driveshafts and new axles?? and if anybody has any other info on the things i need please post back.

all manual drivveshafts are same.
front manual driveshafts are the same.
rear non-lsd shafts are same, lsd shafts arae all the same.

hit the mad search action. find answers etd.

its funny how your going to do the same year swap in the same year car as mine and just yesterday I asked supermoose via E mail if I needed new axles

will i need new axles? or can i use my 94 axles with the 95 rear LSD and tranny?

as just posted above:

front manual driveshafts are the same.

think about that statement.

the diff ratio and the trans ratio has to match. i.e. 4.11 with 4.11.

so u need a rear 4.11 diff. if u LSD (read above) if u NON-LSD (read above)

u should be able to figure it out. or perhaps not.

There is the search button that would have answered all of your questions. All the questions you just asked are well documented. There have been way to many redundent threads about doing swaps on early Imprezas that it is understandable that supermoose is getting anoyed by questions like the ones you asked as am I.

lsd shafts arae all the same. ....that is not true... a r160 v3 and v4 sti do not use the same rear half-shaft.....on the right side the spline is longer and have a step, diff. side.....

the STI cars should have R180 diffs. at least the V4. it would make sense if V3 did not, being bastard middle of change lineup. but realistically speaking; LSD rear axels (assuming R160 and u DONT get teh sides mixed up) are all the same.
